I am in Ahmedabad for Chintan's Marriage. First time I am seeing a North Indian marriage at close range. I will post some pics if possible.

Old Memories

My classmates and friendsVidya and Kiran got married recently. The wedding reception brought back memories of college days. I saw several friends after a gap of nearly four years. It seems only yesterday that I entered college completely oblivious to my future. Some people are haunted by the past and some by the future. I am usually lost in the memories of my past. They seem to be beautiful and perfect.

Good Work England

A short post.
I appreciate the fact that the English team is playing at full strength in India. After the tragedy their courage is appreciable. I guess other people would feel the same.

In Memoriam

This first post after a long time echoes mixed thoughts which are in my mind currently.
I read two different articles-one about the use of rape as a weapon in Congo and the rcent riots in Greece. What struck me was the fact that the Greek crisis was catalyzed by the fact that a 15 year old boy was shot(accidentally?) by the police. There is some value for human life at least there. Countries in Asia and Africa seem to be places where human life is of absolutely no consequence. Do we all leave on the same planet or what?

A parting shot albeit a late one - Syed Shahnawaz Hussain seems to believe in the sanctity of politics and politicians - get a life sicko. This guy is definitely from another planet.

Problem in Combinatorics

Here is a problem in Combinatorics.

Consider a balloon seller who has n balloons of different color. The seller being rather loony sells only balloons in bunches of r and that too a random set of r balloons. The question is simple. How many time would you expect to go to the seller to buy before you have atleast one balloon of each color?

Post after a long time

I apologize to every one who reads this blog. After the first post it seemed that the Tracer Bullet would speak no more. But that situation will be remedied.

What do I have to say? Well several things. First suppose person X calls person Y violent and accuses him of using excessive force in his arguements. So what does Y do. He screams that X is wrong and promises endless retaliation for what he has said. Is it only me who sees the irony?

Many of my friends have left/leaving for various places to study and work. Life seems a tad lonelier in their absence.

Blog Names

This is my first blog and I will devote it to blog names. I have read a variety of blogs and what has amazed me is the originality of the names of the blogs(mine isnt though). Why is it that ordinarily an uncreative world manages to cook up some really imaginative names for blogs. Is it because each blog is in essence a reflection of the person within which I consider to be unique. Maybe my argument has more weightage if used with the content of the blog than the name because I dont know to just what lengths any person will go to find that name initially. Will the person really sit and ruminate and try to think of a blog name which suits his persona best. I didnt so I have no idea. Let me know about your thoughts.
